Smart camp retail tools help you provide a more fun, convenient, and worry-free camp experience with cashless transactions and accurate inventory management. Accept cash, credit, or campers’ prepaid camp store accounts at checkout using our point-of-sale kiosk. Camp-connected sales data can deliver valuable insights.
Most camp gift shops sell souvenirs, allowing campers and their families to pick up branded items to remember camp by. With the right software and a little manpower, your camp retail operations can offer more merchandise variety that adds value to the camp experience.
Stocking extra hygiene items or shower shoes alongside camp t-shirts and towels can save campers in a pinch, while a dedicated snack shack or canteen can create a fun hangout spot for campers to meet up.
Multiple storefronts help camps sell different types of items in different places. For example, snack shops would be near high-traffic areas during camp. Meanwhile, a gift shop will probably be closer to the camp’s drop-off and pick-up point. From inventory to checkout, we’ve got tools to keep it organized.
Add a product to the software with basic details, variations, pricing, and an optional low inventory notification. Then easily manage inventory counts for the product or variations. Choose to track the condition of inventory when it arrives from the vendor or simply add it to inventory for your storefronts.
iCampPro’s checkout kiosk is easy to use and mobile-friendly! Quickly look up a camper to tie the purchase to a current camp registration and access their camp store balance. Items for sale are listed with a clear image, name, and description! Even expense staff purchases or accept split forms of payment.
Running one or more physical retail environments can be a game-changer—enhancing the overall experience for campers by creating a seamless, in-person shopping environment. The added revenue stream helps support camp activities and improvements while providing a safe, controlled way for campers to explore money management during their stay. Camp-branded merchandise like t-shirts, hats, and other souvenirs help foster a sense of community and loyalty. Campers will also love the convenience of grabbing forgotten essentials—from sunscreen to water bottles—without having to phone mom or dad.
Camp staff, campers, and families will love using iCampPro’s prepaid camp store accounts! When enabled, families can conveniently add funds to their accounts from the Registration Portal before or during their campers’ stay! This enables families to budget camper spending without worrying about a camper misplacing cards or cash at camp. Staff can help campers review their balance at checkout or with a handy balance checker tool.
Meeting a new camp friend during free time to grab an extra treat at the canteen or snack shack is a joyful experience. Visiting the gift shop at the end of camp to pick out best-friend souvenirs and promising to keep in touch creates a lasting memory. Giving campers the freedom to manage their own funds and decide how to enhance their experience through responsible spending offers a casual, low-risk way for camp families to introduce financial independence.
Running multiple camp storefronts can feel like a big task as your camp takes on the responsibilities of managing vendor relationships, keeping track of inventory on hand and reorder points, stocking storefronts, accurately recording sales, and processing payments. iCampPro's onsite retail and camps store features offer camps the tools they need to stay organized in all of these areas!
While optional, vendor tracking in iCampPro can be an excellent way to keep track of the source of your inventory items so that teams can easily identify who to contact when they need to reorder or if there’s a problem with the shipment. Keep detailed notes on each shipment to spot trends and power decision-making.
Inventory management tools include options to easily transfer inventory between storefronts around camp. As inventory is moved, the point-of-sale kiosk will automatically update. If items are lost or damaged, you can record this information under inventory logs as well. This will help your team monitor costs.
Camp store accounts make camper checkout a cinch for camp teams! Lookup campers by name or camper band to record a sale. Camp families have the option to add money to their camper’s electronic balance from registration through their camp stay. If campers run short, families can add to their balance.
Sales of one or more items are recorded for specific campers for easy review and returns or as a guest. Sale prices may be entered into the product setup and additional discounts can be selected during checkout. Expense items using a special option to report the cost of the product(s) removed from inventory.
Managing vendors is one of the more challenging tasks camps face when running a camp retail environment. iCampPro simplifies this by allowing camps to track a list of vendors with their contact information and notes. When an order is received from a vendor, it can be recorded as a shipment linked to the vendor, with details on the quantity and condition of the items. These items can then be added to inventory in one or multiple camp stores. Administrators or managers can easily review shipments by date and search by vendor to ensure that campers and families have access to the best quality items.
Yes! The product catalog in iCampPro’s point-of-sale features includes the ability to set dates for a sales price for each product along with the sales price. Additional discounts, such as a military or staff discount can be added for the full entire cart in the same place where store staff take payment.
While iCampPro does allow camps to offer special optional add-on purchases during the Registration Portal camp checkout, it does not currently offer a full online camp store for camp customers or guests to directly purchase items. All point-of-sale purchases are currently expected to be associated with on-site camp visits, where campers or families will physically shop or check in for a camp registration.
Yes! When adding products to iCampPro, camp stores can indicate the item’s per-unit cost as well as the price the camp is selling it for. An estimated profit is given for each unit sold and real sales checkout records allow camps to dive deeper into the details to look for profits and patterns in retail sales.
By default, iCampPro’s point of sale checkout can accept cash sales and record internally expensed items (which are recorded at cost as expenses). Once payment processing is set up for your iCampPro account, your camp team can purchase one or more compatible card terminals to connect to your point of sale and allow in-person credit card and debit card sales. Available card readers include swipe, chip, and contactless payment technology.
